This track was composed and recorded by Alan Chamberlain, it was created for a performance at Web Science 2021.
The piece is based on the unseen ways that different electronic devices communicate with each other and the ways that this data can be used for creative experimentations. The track is evolving and the repetitive nature of it shows the ways that devices are constantly communicating, scanning and automated, without us being aware of these actions.
This piece takes an Experimental Digital Humanities approach which is influenced by the Maxwell's Demon (a thought experiment), that inspired the term daemon used in computing -

The piece was composed from fragments of data kindly sent by Iain Emsley. These were pieced together, modified and arranged to develop this piece of work.
